The NY City Dish "Penang: Malaysian Sensation"

I’m as big of a fan of Chinese food as the next New Yorker, but it’s always fun to shake things up, and Upper West Side Malaysian joint Penang makes for a great change of pace. The dishes are reminiscent of what you’ll see at your corner takeout joint, like sweet and sour chicken, crispy fried duck, and wonton noodle soup, but most incorporate flavors you’re likely used to seeing in Indian or Thai dishes like lemongrass, coconut curry, and basil galore.
