“A Taste of Malaysia” Supermarket Events Provide Free Samples of Malaysian Food and Promotional Pricing on Select Food Products

From Curry Chicken to Coffee, Tea, Sandwiches and Snacks, Consumers in New Jersey Can Get a Taste of Malaysia's Best Flavors at Asian Food Supermarkets
January 12, 2024 New York – Malaysia Kitchen for the World, a campaign launched by the Government of Malaysia through the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) to promote Malaysian food and restaurants in the U.S., is hosting “A Taste of Malaysia” events in Asian Food Supermarkets in New Jersey to highlight some of the best Malaysian food products available in the U.S. market. During select weekends in January and February (see schedule below), Asian Food Supermarkets will provide free samples of traditional Malaysian food and offer special promotional prices on a variety of Malaysian food products. The events are open to the public.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Asian Food Supermarkets on this exclusive promotion of Malaysian food,” said Senior Trade Commissioner Mohd Mustafa Abdul Aziz. “This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase the richness and diversity of Malaysian cuisine, as well as the variety and quality of Malaysian products available to the American public.”
The events will feature free Malaysian food samples, including curry chicken with potatoes, featuring Khim Yan dry curry mixes, sandwiches made with Ayam sardines and Ayam baked beans, Mamee Monster BBQ Noodle Snacks, Popo Muruku Ikun and Old Town coffee and teh tarik.
Participating Asian Food Supermarkets in New Jersey include:
Marlboro (79 South Main Street): January 14, 15 from 10:00am-6:00pm and February 18 & 19 from 10:00am-6:00pm
North Plainfield (965 Route 22 West): January 28 & 29 from 10:00am-6:00pm
Piscataway (1339 Centennial Avenue): February 4 & 5 from 10:00am-6:00pm
Plainsboro (660 Plainsboro Road): February 11 & 12 from 10:00am-6:00pm
