2011 MALAYSIA KITCHEN CAMPAIGN KICKS OFF

Launched by the Malaysian government to boost awareness of Malaysian cuisine, ingredients and restaurants, the Malaysia Kitchen campaign is well under way this year with yet another exciting array of epicurean events, cooking classes and promotion initiatives. We kick off in May with a partnership with the LUCKYRICE Festival, featuring three special events highlighting the delicious flavors of Malaysian cuisine. In June, we are bringing back the popular Malaysian Restaurant Week throughout the tri-state area, and in the fall we will host a special Curry Laksa Festival on the streets of New York City. We will also be conducting a series of supermarket promotions to boost awareness and sales of Malaysian ingredients and prepared products. All along, we’ll partner with culinary schools to offer classes for chefs as well as the general public.
